Gender Affirm Guelph is gender affirming clinic that first opened in 2020 and later amalgamated with the ARCH/HIVE clinic. We are now returning to our original model of care where we can provide compassionate OHIP-covered gender affirming care to our community as well as those living in other parts of Ontario. Our care is offered by skilled doctors and nurses both virtually and in person. There are no fees for services - it is fully covered by OHIP. We see patients aged 12 and up.
Gender Affirming Care is Life-Saving Care
We believe that gender affirming care saves lives and enriches communities. We follow the informed consent model set out by the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) and follow the Rainbow Health Ontario guidelines for gender affirming care. You let us know your gender goals and we work hard to help you meet them.
New patients can either self-refer or have a referral faxed over by their family doctor. Patients who live far from Guelph who want to be seen only virtually will need a doctor's referral faxed over. First visits are usually in person. Patients who can attend occasional in person appointments can self-refer.
